Parkour Classes

Our parkour classes are run using a progressive skill levelling system. We begin by building a strong foundational base for each key parkour movement. Each new level, expect to gain more control and confidence of your body. Unlocking new movements and challenges along your journey. Classes are 1 hour long and taught by experienced parkour coaches. We pride ourselves on providing a fun and safe learning environment. Classes are available for a variety of age ranges.

Junior Classes: Ages 7-10
Senior Classes: Ages 11-15
Adult Classes: Ages 16+

Levelling Up

Here in the Badlands, we pair each skill level with an associated colour grade. This ensures that students are placed in the appropriate class, providing the best possible experience for them. Skill testing is required to move up to the next colour grade. There will be periodic testing days to allow our students to level up. Coaches will communicate when testing days will happen.

Open Gym

This is where you have the opportunity to be creative with your time and movement in the Badlands Parkour space. Practice movements learned in classes, explore, and/or play around with different ideas. Access to certain areas of the Badlands Parkour space will be restricted to specific individuals based on their skill level/colour grade. This is implemented to keep the space and people using it as safe as possible. Parkour open gym athletes must be aged 7+.

        FAQ

What should I bring for class/open gym?

        • Clean indoor running shoes.
        • Gym attire (shorts or athletic pants/joggers and a t-shirt).
        • A water bottle

Can I sign the waiver in advance?

Yes! We encourage you to fill out the waiver ahead of time.

What will the class consist of?

Each class starts with warm up activities, a reminder about safety and rules, and movement or obstacle introductions led by our expert parkour coaches. From there, we will practice a variety of parkour skills, and learn to run parkour lines.

What is the skill level required for parkour?

There is no prerequisite to be able to do parkour. Parkour is for everyone and can be done at varying degrees. In fact, practising parkour will actually help you become both more fit and coordinated.

How many coaches will there be?

We run our parkour classes with a ratio of 6 athletes to 1 head coach.

        What ages do you teach?

We have classes for a wide range of ages 7 and up. Please see below for our age groups

Junior Classes: Ages 7-10 Senior Classes: Ages 11-15 Adult Classes: Ages 16+

How are you ensuring my safety?

All of our coaches are first aid certified and have been trained on how to properly set up and traverse all parkour lines and equipment. All coaches communicate rules and obstacle safety demos at the beginning of every class to minimize the risk of any injuries.

Are there any family discounts for multiple children?

Yes! We offer a 10% overall discount on your monthly fees for registering 2 or more athletes under the same household membership.

        Is parkour dangerous?

Like any other physical activity there will always be some risk of injury, but usually that risk is quite low. Some media outlets may portray parkour as being "dangerous". This is in fact incorrect, as parkour trained/practised properly is considered a safe form of movement. Generally, parkour is not performed recklessly and/or in an unsafe environment. With proper progression parkour is safe and can be performed by anyone. Again, we pride ourselves on providing a fun and safe learning environment.

        What is the cancellation policy?

We offer our classes as a month-to-month commitment. Your registration includes a 2-week money-back guarantee from the date of your first class. If you decide Fitset Ninja is not right for you within those first 2 weeks, you will receive a refund for all remaining classes that you’ve paid for.

After the initial 2-week period, you can use the Membership Management Portal to initiate a cancellation prior to the last 7 days of the current month. Your classes will continue until the end of the month. No refunds or credit will be issued for any classes you choose not to attend during the remainder of the month.

Any membership requests received during the final 7 days of the month will incur a $25 administration fee.

Can I add or remove a class, or switch to a different class?

Yes you can, but any changes to your membership must be made prior to the last 7 days of the current month. These changes will take effect starting on the 1st of the following month. Change requests must be sent via the Membership Management Portal or email to hello@fitsetninja.com

Please note that our classes have capacity limits and we therefore cannot guarantee your spot in a new class. The more notice given, the higher the chance that a spot will be available.

Any membership requests received during the final 7 days of the month will incur a $25 administration fee.

Are there any make-up classes if I miss a class?

No. Since our classes have a limited capacity and are almost always completely full, like most kids sports we unfortunately are not able to offer make-up classes for absences or missed classes. This includes absence due to sickness, planned vacations, etc. If Fitset Ninja needs to cancel a class for whatever reason, we will offer a makeup class or provide a credit or refund for the cancelled class.

        Can I pause my membership?

Yes, you are able to pause your membership for a period of one calendar month during the year, or two calendar months during the summer months of July and August. We are unable to pause a membership for the current month once the 1st of the month has passed. However, you can pause your membership for the 1st of the following month if notice is given before the last 7 days of the month. Pause requests must be sent via the Membership Management Portal.

Please note, our classes have capacity limits and most have a waitlist of eager new athletes, thus we can not guarantee your spot if you will be away for more than 1 month. A request to pause for a period greater than 1 month (other than summer months of July and August) will be processed instead as a cancellation of your membership, and will require you to re-register for your classes once you return.

Any membership requests received during the final 7 days of the month will incur a $25 administration fee.

Do classes run on stat holidays?

Classes will not run on statutory holidays. However, as some months in the year contain 5 weeks and we do not alter the monthly fee for these months, the number of classes available for you to attend will even out, even if some of your classes happen to land on a statutory holiday.
